Speed-dating

Regarding the way users view photos, I used the speed dating method to help me quickly produce a large number of possible solutions. I drew storyboards of many scenes to explore the rationality of the scenes and the rationality of the interaction process.

# Solution 1

The initial plan was that the user selected some photos and scanned a certain food. The application identifies the shelf life of this kind of food, stores these photos in a special album with this shelf-life, and calculates the time for the album to open again from the current time. The shelf life of this album is the same as the shelf life of the food. For example, Apple’s shelf life is 7 days, and after the virtual shelf life expires, the photos will be redisplayed to users. The problem with this process is that most of the items are not purchased by consumers on the first day of production, so the actual recommended time of the photo does not match the actual shelf life of the food. The user needs to calculate the time for the album to reopen. The method will cause confusion to users, so this solution is not adopted.

# Solution 2

Another solution is to find a photo with the same date in the album and recommend it to the user after identifying the shelf life of the food. It allows users to see photos of "Last Year Today". The problem with this solution is that if the user does not take photos on that day, or there are too many photos, it is not conducive to the user's experience of reviewing photos in the album. The problem with this solution is that if the user did not take photos on that day, or there are too many photos belongs to that day, it is not conducive to the user's experience of reviewing photos in the album.

# Solution 3

The third option is to use the shelf life of food to represent a whole period of time to record a whole memory in life. For example, the shelf life of Coke is 6 months, so a bottle of Coke can be used to record the 6 months of living in London. Similarly, a bag of bread with a shelf life of 7 days can be used to record a 7-day trip. These foods form a virtual shelf and are displayed in the app. This way of recording life is relatively novel, but the disadvantage is that all the shelf life is virtual time, and there is no way to establish a relationship with the shelf life in real life

# Solution 4

Finally, I explored the fourth plan, which is the final plan. The user scans the food to get the shelf life of the food. After that, users can actively select wonderful photos in the album. When the expiration date comes, these wonderful photos will be re-displayed to users, allowing users to recall the past. In this way, the shelf life of the food is linked to the photos on the mobile phone. The user's self-selection of photos also ensures the accuracy of the content of the photos, allowing users to review photos with higher quality.
